Alliance Française on the Sunshine Coast
The Alliance Française de la Sunshine Coast is a not-for-profit organisation, incorporated in Queensland and is part of the largest network which teaches French language and culture to more than 400,000 students around the world. There are more than 1300 Alliançes established in over 112 countries including 31 in Australia. All Alliances Françaises are self-supporting and independent.

In Queensland, there are seven Alliances Françaises in Atherton, Brisbane, Cairns, Gold Coast, Rockhampton, Toowoomba and Townsville and the Sunshine Coast
Alliance Française in Australia
In Australia, the individual Alliances Françaises are part of a national federation.
The Fédération des Alliances Françaises en Australie is based in Canberra and unites branches from Esperance to Eurobodalla and from Hobart to Darwin.
In all state capital cities, the executive directors are appointed by the Fondation Alliance française and the French Ministry of Foreign Affaires.

Alliance Française around the world
Internationally, all Alliance Françaises benefit from the support of the Fondation Alliance française, which was created by public decree by the official journal of the French Republic on the 26th of July, 2007. The Foundation exists to modernise the historical mission of the Alliance Française founded in 1883, with the goal of increasing the diffusion of the French language and culture by sharing this mission with well-known international partners and in consultation with local public powers, and through providing expertise, training and advice to 1,071 branches of Alliance Française.
