WHY LEARN WITH US?
Discover our dynamic and interactive French courses that are derived from the Alliance Française’s 135 years experience delivering high quality French language courses to students all around the world. Our teaching is based on a communicative approach using authentic materials and specially designed course books. Our dedicated teachers are highly qualified and experienced – they benefit from on-going training to ensure your learning experience is engaging, effective and satisfying.
The Alliance Française is a world authority in French language teaching, and here in South-East Queensland, L’Alliance Française de la Sunshine Coast offers a wide range of courses designed to suit every need and availability. You can learn French the classic way with our general courses or focus on a special theme. Our courses are held at Mountain Creel and Noosa (however, please note that the courses offered in each location vary).
Our courses provide the best means of developing the student’s skills in French in the four core areas: speaking, reading comprehension, writing and listening. They enable you to learn French grammar and syntax in a friendly and relaxed environment. All of our courses are conducted in French at both our Mooloolaba/Mountain Creek and Noosa locations and run over all four terms of the year.
We run French courses for Beginners, Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced students and now also Active Conversation Groups. Please contact Cécile on 0407 070 467 for further details.
WHAT OUR STUDENTS SAY ABOUT US…
“I have really enjoyed my French lessons. It is nice to be in a small class with lots of interaction with other students and our teacher. We are making steady progress with understanding the French language and improving our reading, writing and conversation. Our teacher, Verity, is very encouraging and knowledgeable about life and language in France. She is able to answer all our questions and explain the context of various conventions. I would really recommend the lessons to anyone interested in France and all things French.”

« J’étudie le français avec l’Alliance Français de la Sunshine Coast depuis trois ans. J’ai appris beaucoup : de la grammaire, de la culture et de l’histoire française, et, la chose la plus importante, j’ai gagné en confiance en parlant.
L’institutrice, Cécile, une Française géniale, positive et amusante, prépare des leçons variées et intéressantes. Pour moi, la classe française est une expérience très agréable, tout le monde s’amuse bien en apprenant.»

“I began French classes with the Alliance Française de la Sunshine Coast at the beginning of Term 2 this year. My initial on-line test slotted me into the Intermediate / Advanced group. I was a little nervous when I arrived at the first class, not having studied French for many years. My teacher, Cécile, was speaking French to the class and several students seemed to not only follow what she was saying but were also able to respond in French. I suggested to Cécile that I may have been put into too high a level, however, she was very encouraging and I soon began to settle in.
It has turned out to be a lovely experience. My fellow students are all relaxed and we have many laughs at some of our errors. Cécile is a very good teacher. Her lessons are varied and interesting. We have homework each week and often email it to Cécile, who sends it back very promptly. I feel that my French has improved during the two terms I have been in the class.
I can thoroughly recommend the classes to anyone who is interested in improving their French.”
